Commissions

An hour of your light, held

You get a sequenced series and an edition of archival prints, made for the place and the feeling you describe.

I take a few commissions a year. You tell me the place, the hour, and the feeling; I walk it, shoot it across many mornings, and deliver a series printed to live with.

What You Get

Three things, every commission

The Series

A sequenced set of frames made for your place and hour, edited down from many mornings to the few that hold the feeling.

The Edition

Archival pigment prints on cotton rag, signed and numbered, sized for the wall they will hang on.

The Install

Sequencing and hanging guidance, so the series reads as one slow hour however people walk it.

How It Works

Three stages, one season

1

Walk the place until I know its light.

2

Shoot one hour, many mornings, long exposures.

3

Edit, edition, and help you hang the series.

Before You Write

An honest fit check

A Good Fit

You have a wall and a feeling, you trust a quiet, abstract approach, and you can give a series the season it takes to make.

Not A Fit

You need literal scenes, fast turnaround, or stock. I make slow, abstract work from real light, and I will not pretend otherwise.

“The series is the part we walk past every day and never tire of. It held the light, exactly as promised.”
